WebJul 5, 2020 · In order to have that much oil in the block cavity, either you missed the filler hole a few times or that engine was severely overheated compromising the gaskets, warping the heads. That's not the burr problem. Or you've been consistently over filling the crankcase which is worse than running it low. I seen folks do that as well.

My rear main was leaking from the rms plate nearest the starter. More than one area was a little wet outside of the plate. Then somehow it drips onto the starter bolt. Time for a new rear main.

You will see oil in the valley with a few different leaks up top. Could be glow plug cap leak on passenger side. Most common is oil pressure sensor. Most all i mentioned will run down block and show above starter.
